Abstract or Description: | Un Coup de Dés Jamais N’Abolira l’Appropriation is an exhibition and essay by Robert Bolick celebrating the 125th anniversary of Stéphane Mallarmé’s seminal poem-book Un Coup de Dés Jamais N’Abolira le Hasard (1897). Un Coup de Dés Jamais N'Abolira Le Hasard — Espace (2012), created a decade before this exhibition, is situated with 125 years of unique homages in the form of film, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, theatre, costume, music, dance, programming, and book art. Touring exhibition: Jesus College, Cambridge (May - June); Norwich Library (27th - 28th May); Bower Ashton Library, Bristol (1st September – 31st October). All works are held in the Bodleian Libraries, Special Collection at University of Oxford. |
