Stockham, Jo, 2010, Show, Exhibition or Event, Fathom
Abstract or Description: | Fathom is a print made for the exhibition and publication Folio. Shakespeare related, it uses Scanning and Cloning to produce digital files which were brought together by screen-printing the image. A digital interpretation of the transformations alluded to in Ariels song in the Tempest; Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes, Nothing of him that doth fade, But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange. The work was shown in two exhibitions one at the RSC theatre in Stratford-upon-avon, the other in the Upper Gulbenkian gallery at the RCA. The project as a whole included the interpretation of text and performance and thus contributed to the word and image hub. |
