Abstract or Description: | The Creative Policy Programme is an intensive capacity-building programme for public managers and civil servants working in the creative and cultural sector. Combining theory and practice, the programme is conceived as an immersive, collaborative and practical experience, which, through a series of masterclasses, workshops and discussions, seeks to help the Mexican public sector to enhance understanding of the creative economy and of the methods and tools for innovation within the public administration, to develop its economic and socio-cultural potential. The first edition of the programme was implemented in July 2019 with members of the leadership team of the Cultural Development Division of the Federal Ministry of Culture of Mexico. This publication outlines the methodology of the Creative Policy Programme which is based on the experience of the Policy Platform of the Service Design Programme at the Royal College of Art. It is published under a Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence in a statement which seeks to build and explore knowledge with the community. |
