Lomax, Yve, 2017, Conference or Workshop, You are looking at something that never occured: event, example—photographic image at Slowness, Staging and Post-Truth, Zabludowicz Collection, London, 23 June 2017.
Abstract or Description: | This talk introduces two occasions—two visions—of the photographic image for which the past doesn’t at all remain in the past and brings a slant on how the words, ‘You are looking at Something that never occurred’ can be taken and, who knows, perhaps makes a little disturbance in the term ‘Post-truth’. It briefly examines a photographic image pertaining to the temporality of the event (Deleuze) and a photographic occupying the paradigmatic position of the example (Agamben). https://www.zabludowiczcollection.com/events/view/study-session-slowness-staging-and-post-truth |
