Abstract or Description:

Octopussy is a key part of Radical Matter research led by Prof. Johnny Golding. It focuses on decentralised intelligence, sensory experience, embodiment, sexualities/genders and the impact of AI. Since appearing in M. Viegener et al (2022): Kathy Acker: Get Rid of Meaning. Grove Press, 359-76, it has subsequently been remade into video and hologram. Exhibited at A pAIn in the…, SZN Gallery, London, 1-3 Jun 2023; the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre as part of Ana-Cartography II, Hong Kong, 2024; and as holographic work featuring in Sylvia Eckman and Gerald Nestler (2025). Planetary Skins: The Future Demonstration ./Studio 3, Institut für experimentelle architektur, Universität Innsbruck at Angewandte, Vienna symposia and gallery contexts). Part of academic and artistic research on Artificial Intelligence, continental philosophy, and contemporary art, rather than a single commercial gallery exhibition or venue per se.
