"A Glasgow Spectacular (or the experience being an experience like the experience you just had)" was a large scale publicly sited construction designed to create an archway into Glasgow's George Square during the European Athletics Championships. Working to a narrow brief, the project was required to act as a brand for Festival 2018, the cultural programme accompanying the European Championships. The research sits within an ongoing broad body of research that aims to consider and critique that ways in which the contemporary art is instrumentalised within both commercial and cultural regeneration contexts.
