Abstract or Description:

This presentation will outline the overarching goals of the new MA Digital Direction, at the School of Communication, Royal College of Art. The speaker will describe the reason for the establishment of the course and its strategic positioning within the wider RCA.
The presentation will also provide a theoretical perspective on the course, evidencing the way in which student’s curiosity and innovation is nurtured, while placing it within a pedagogic and scientific framework - acknowledging the significant differences between Art School curricula and orthodox Computer Science courses.
