Abstract or Description:

Research network:
The Expanded Librarian: Text+Image relations in post-photographic contexts and literary environments in collaboration with CRASSH (Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities), University of Cambridge.

The Expanded Librarian follows the ‘Writing Photographs’ research project that Beverley Carruthers and Wiebke Leister have been co-leading since 2015, which focused on how contemporary lens-based media integrates text and writing in cross-disciplinary installation and performance contexts.
The Expanded Librarian project aims to understand wider intermedial and intertextual approaches in theory and practice to investigate contemporary modes of collaborative image-text-production.
