Catalogue essay for Enrico “La Caduta” David exhibition at Collezione Maramotti, Reggio Emilia, Milano. "A Conversation" was designed in conjunction with a major exhibition in Italy at the collezionmaramotti in the old MaxMara headquarters. Instead of a direct commentary on the exhibition it was elected to design a catalogue with images related to influences and use either interview or discussion framework. This strategy implied a more abstract focus on questions of drawing, sculpture, language, emotion and memory. In turn it was hoped that this might stimulate an understanding of how such questions related to form and force might be navigated, how the question of gesture might arise or the difference between knowing and feeling occurs within the work of art.
