  • Design led enquiry for mobile lives

Kazakos, K, Kirk, David, Durrant, A, Chatting, David, Yurman, Paulina and Bichard, Jo-Anne, 2015, Conference or Workshop, Design led enquiry for mobile lives at CHI 15 Crossings, Seoul, S. Korea, 18-23 April 2015.

Abstract or Description:

Mobile living and working has become a feature of everyday experience and interaction with others, mediated by digital, Internet-enabled technology. Such patterns of interaction in ‘mobile lives’ pose new opportunities and challenges for people and societies.

Design-led inquiry has a potentially transformative role to play in addressing these opportunities and challenges of mobile living and working, in future HCI research.

This workshop aims to bring together design researchers and practitioners in an effort to critically explore the use of design-led inquiry within HCI research on mobile lives, for conceptual and empirical investigation, and for forms of stakeholder and partner engagement.
