Webber, Tristan, 2019, Journal Article, En/Othering the S/Kin: Diffractively Tattooed Derma as Fashion Neology Performance Research, Vol. 2 (No. 5:). 0-0. ISSN 1352-8165 (Unpublished)

Abstract or Description:

This is a paper that has been discussed and agreed in principle with the Issue editor Dr. Annouchka Bayley for Special Issue of Performance Research. Vol. 25, No. 5: ‘On Diffraction’ (July/August 2020). Centring around matters of Diffraction philosophy as popularised by Karen Barad and in concert with shared ideas of entanglement and kin as posited by Donna J. Harraway in Staying with the Trouble. This work takes a Practice as Research approach centring the writer as human canvas, with the medium of modern tattoo technique as the visual 'apparatus' (see Barad) as a method of exhibiting, and reflecting upon new pedagogic models as a method of inquiry. A draft abstract has been agreed upon with the editor, with a second draft requested for the publisher.
