Abstract or Description: | I am editor-in-chief of the limited edition book Perform, Experience, Re-Live (published by Tate Public Programmes, 2016), an accessible volume exploring how making, experiencing and re-living of performance in the digital age. It examines performance from the perspectives of artists, as well as its contexts, taking the BMW Tate Live Performance Events, Performance Room and Talks events (2012-2015) as key case studies. http://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/performance/bmw-tate-live The publication and its accompanying AR app introduces key ideas in performance to a ‘lay’ audience, aiming to investigate the following research questions: Participating practitioners include Philip Auslander, Chris Dercon, Tim Etchells, Suzanne Lacy and Claire Tancons. |
