Abstract or Description: | This report, prepared for the Baring Foundation, identifies impactful opportunities for investing in arts and social housing projects. It features benchmark case studies that demonstrate the contribution of creative and cultural activities to a UK social housing network that facing cuts and unilateral corrosion. The report makes funding recommendations intended to exemplify the Baring Foundation’s purpose, approach and resources, that could be used by other funding agencies to define their own criteria for arts investment. It evidences why investing in this niche area of activity offers a unique opportunity for any agency to play a leading role as a supportive funder of creatively innovative, civically engaged, socially responsive and culturally rich work across the social housing network of the UK. |
