A commission on 3 sites in the Western Section of the London Super Sewer. Contributing to a large scale infrastructure project, and at three sites is a unusual proposal for an artist. It is rare for an artist to be commissioned to work alongside large scale engineering infrastructure projects with anticipated lifespan of 120 years. It is rare for a commission to be spilit across sites. In developing this commission, I have designed a group of sculpture, in which each element is considered in relation to specfics of each of the 3 sites; their histories, material makeups, topographies, and social environments function as data subsets to inform the design. Across the 3 commissions I am experiementiing with narrative and with scale; I am making specific material choices, and working with a design team on design detail including the logistics and placement of the artworks.
