Gluzberg, Margarita, 2016, Conference or Workshop, The Digital Analogue at What is the Digital Draw?, London, UK, 2016-04-18.
Abstract or Description: | Bringing together key thinkers in the field, the day-long event featured presentations and panel discussions exploring what ‘the digital’ means for drawing today. Speakers will examine topics including: the aesthetics of drawing in the post-internet age; the open-ended nature of digital practice; the use of the Internet as a medium; approaches to ‘drawing’ with data; and histories and technologies of computer art. This seminar is open to all, and will be of particular interest to artists, arts professionals, and researchers interested in digital technologies and the visual arts. By looking at contemporary and historical visual territories, Gluzberg's presentation questions the distinction between that which is defined as digital and that which is defined as analogue. |
