Davis, Kate, 2016, Conference or Workshop, 'Looking Through The Wrong End of The Telescope', a paper at Creative Differences: Dyslexia and Neurodiversity in Science, Art and Design, Royal College of Art, London, 5-7 Oct 2016.
Abstract or Description: | This was an event that took the form of a conference and exhibition organised by the RCA and Imperial College to coincide with National Dyslexia Week. Participants from a range of backgrounds were invited to speak or present papers on how dyslexia or dyspraxia might have shaped their approaches to problem solving, or influenced their creative practices. This was followed by a panel discussion that focused on a number of issues, including how a late diagnosis might make sense of long term issues, and how this might be different to those individuals who were aware of their learning difference from childhood. The paper given by Davis was titled 'Looking Through The Wrong End of The Telescope’. |
