Abstract or Description: | The project that benefits from attractive intrinsic merits of graphene in different forms, involves all aspects of research in developing wearable communication systems from graphene synthesis to final communicating cloth prototypes enabling comfortable and well-hidden material integration solutions. Unique and innovative 2D material assemblies and design solutions to flexible textile-based antennas for ultra-wideband communication was showcased. The visitors will have a chance to touch and see these communicating fabric swatches and experience different fabrication methods involving the combination of methods from material science, textile design, electronics, and textile engineering how to make and craft these communicating fabrics. Apart from creating unique haptic knowledge, the visitors also watched the journey of material experimentation which led different manufacturing paths for an unobtrusive integration into cloth by ensuring the wearer’s comfort |
