This essay traces a series of humanitarian and evironmental disputes in the Atacama Desert in Chile to foreground the emergence of a new field of material and spatial analysis by the name of geoforensics: a practice that mobilizes the translation, analysis and visualization of the earth, for the urgent reformulation of contemporary political disputes.
