Kogei is the Japanese term for 'artisan crafts'. The International Hokuriku Kogei Summit is an an exhibition that examines the progression and movement of KOGEI around the world, exploring the meaning of the culture of KOGEI and its future possibilities through over 100 pieces of artwork.
An example of Hasan's newly produced Vase Family 4, (Tall Form), was selected by an international committee of curators to form part of the exhibition. The vessel is part of Hasan's continued research into the repurposing of traditional crafts processes, and is made using an ancient armour making processed, Cuir Bouilli.
