Thompson was commissioned by Bridget Smith to produce a 'visionary statement' in the style of Thomas Swedenborg's statements for the exhibition 'Now It is Permitted: 24 Wayside Pulpits'. Smith commissioned approximately 55 artists to produce statements which were then typeset in the manner of the original pulpit missives.
